Wrong reference taken

Postby Loredwellerll on Fri Mar 05, 2010 5:30 pm

So, my city is, say, 26:24. Now, i seek Inactives in 5 radius. Range of found ones are 1:1-5:5, i.e. as if i were at 1:1. Next, there's a town on my island i search for. The Travel distance shown is 12h8m (as, i believe, it'd be from 1:1)...
What could have gone wrong? Have i missed something at install?
Server version is 0.3.2; core shows 8.3 in its News.
I was delirious with ika-core a year ago. Now i've started over in a new world and have got this problem...
TIA

My it be?

It seems that Windows Firefox vers.3.6 shows all OK (within the time frame), while Ubuntu Firefox 3.5.8 makes that mistake.
Where's the difference and is that curable? (I avoided moving to 3.6 on Linux because that version does not have Google Notebook support)
TIA

It is very strange actually.
But if it is not too much trouble just send me your account
username (not the password, we do not want to steal account here)
and the world you are playing to further investigate this.

Please send the above information in a private message, do not post it here for obvious reasons.

Sorry for delay - had problems with access point.
Servers were s3.ikariam.lv and s666.ikariam.org. Altogether the problem seems gone now on s3-lv. I\ve moved to 3.6 on Linux, though.
s666-org it doesn't show anything on search, altogether that's 0.3.3 - perhaps it's normal, it's the testserver after all.
Well, i'm going to reinstall Linux box (other distro) those days, so we'll see.
Thanks for great tool!
Best of luck!

Some test servers are excluded because they tend to brake things. Sorry.
Anyway ika-core is moving to a new release soon with more features and a new platform.

Release notes to follow...

Great news, thanks!
So, the tools won't work in s666.ikariam.org? At least something to count on 8-)

This problem is intermittent for me sometimes it works just fine other times the wrong point of origin is taken .. Usually restarting FF seems to fix the issue other times just doing a search on one of my own or island neighbors villages fixes the reference point..

As for the new version I will try and wait patiently
